Act 3 Stage School offers kids acting classes and caters for students aged between 4 and 18 years.

Research has shown that students who are involved in creative activities such as drama; build more confidence and self esteem, develop superior communication skills (both listening and speaking), and increase their social skills.
 
Within a supportive and positive environment 4 - 18 year olds are motivated and inspired to learn about the fundamentals of acting though improvisation and theatre games. Each class lesson aims to deliver a specific theme of acting so your child will be having fun, stimulating their imagination and learning at the same time.  Act 3 uses a curriculum which is developed for each class. Within each class, the lesson is different every week therefore allowing loads of variety yet still learning and having fun.

  • Guided Improvisation Games - will challenge your child to think spontaneously and use their imagination.

Drama Tutor - Ciara O’Byrne L.I.B.S.D.

Ciara O’Byrne is teaching drama for over 20 years. She studied with the Guildhall School of Drama and Music, London and the Gaiety School of Acting, Dublin. Ciara also holds a diploma of licenciate with the Irish Board of Speech and Drama. She spent several years as a tutor at the Gaiety School of Acting before setting up the Act3 Stage School in 2000. Ciara believes that every child should be given the chance to explore their creativity in a safe and encouraging enviornment, and  this is the philosophy of Act 3. Ciara travels  the country examining for the Irish Board of Speech and Drama. She also teaches drama in St. Olafs National School, Rathgar National School and Scoil Mealruain.
Ciara’s interest in drama began when at 16 years of age she was chosen to join the National Youth Theatre and has gone on to perform in some very successful productions at The Project Arts Centre,  The Pavilion Theatre and The Mill Theatre. She has also travelled and performed many times in the One Act Theatre Festival.
